Character Creation Guide
1. Figure Out Your Cat's Parents And Age.
There is a set of premade parents for your cat, located (here). Each set of parents has its own set of genetics that can come of it, so make sure you pay attention to it before you get settled on a character's appearance! Each set also has different litters of differing ages, so keep track of that as well!
2. Find A Good Picture!
This can go one of two ways. You can find a photo off google, or you can draw it yourself. We also accept commissioned/requested pieces, so long as there's evidence that it really is yours and you went through with the deal fairly! Photos should also be credited. If you need help finding a good picture don't be afraid to ask for help!
3. Figure out a name!
Due to the nature of the roleplay, we only accept "natural" names like Vine, Pebble, Brick, etc. While they can be manmade, ensure the cats would know about it - they would have an acute sense of metal, for example, but not specifics like iron or steel. Try to keep things color related, so things with a lot of color options are heavily discouraged (so don't name your cat "car," or "dog," "flower," "butterfly," etc. because they have too many color possibilities)! If you need help, again, feel free to provide the picture of the cat and ask!
4. Describe your cat's backstory.
Be sure you use your head when making your cat's backstory. Make sure you leave room for other peoples' cats to be involved, especially littermates. Also, try not to powerplay your cat's actions. If you want their relationship with a certain cat to be predetermined, please message that person before including it to work out all the chinks! Also, if the cat's parents are adoptable/still alive, be sure you don't make up some tragic backstory where they're dead! Feel free to describe your cat's reaction to their death if you'd like though.
5. Personality!
Taking their history into account, formulate your cat's personality! What are their strengths and weaknesses? What's their greatest fear? Do they have any traits that aren't negative or positive? Has their past affected them badly, or did it make them stronger? This is the fun part! Go wild, within moderation! Remember that every cat has their good and bads, and your cat shouldn't be the Best At Everything (no matter how much they think they are...).
6. Done!
Has everything been figured out? Great! Now you can apply for your character by messaging Admin with your filled out application. Corrections can be made from there, and once everything has been ironed out, you'll see your character added to the allegiances and you can begin your roleplaying!
